Our Services
Empowering your most important asset
Human Resources
Many grassroots non-profits and charities we speak with don’t have a dedicated resource for their HR needs. This work often falls on the Accountant or Executive Director. Because these resources do not have expertise in employment standards legislation (provincial) and payroll (federal), the function becomes really tedious and administrative. We see many clients fall into this cycle of bureaucracy.
But your people are the most important resource you have. How do you onboard them? What access to training and collaboration do they have? Do you have effective procedures for remote work, performance management, or feedback? Are time & attendance tracking integrating with your financial and clinical information, or are these related datasets in silos?
Most of the grassroots clients we work with don’t need a dedicated HR resource or can’t affordably sustain one early on, but not having the expertise provided can expose the organization to risk, lead to frustration from your people, and create unnecessary bureaucracy to your workflow.
Our payroll experts are more finance than HR specialists, but we have qualified HR experts that work in the background to support any non-routine issues and provide advice to your main point of contact. Where necessary, we’ll pull these experts into work with you directly on a time-limited basis, no additional costs required when these services are within our core offering!
The goal of our work around HR is empowerment! Modern tools give lots of control and information back to the worker and their manager, automating much of the bureaucracy along the way. This elevates your work to focus on strategies to improve your team’s satisfaction, effectiveness, and relationships with your community.
Whether you use our ongoing support services that include core HR, have us support a time-limited engagement with your team, or just want us to train your staff on specific topics, we’re here to serve you!
